About me
Hi, my name is Tucker Legerski. I am a writer, researcher, fact-checker, big-time reader who seeks adventure. I was born and raised in the Rocky Mountain trifecta of Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. I've lived and worked in Ecuador, Mongolia, Oregon, New York City, and Alabama.
Professionally, I find information so people can make good media. I build context and find facts for producers, writers, podcast hosts, and more. For the last three years, I have been a researcher, fact-checker, and scriptwriter for the media company WaitWhat.
In the past, I've been a teacher, reporter, anti-boredom machine at children's hospitals, a Peace Corps and Americorps volunteer, and a pandemic delivery driver. I've lived in a lot of places, done a few things. Currently in Alabama, but Wisconsin bound in 2025.
See my LinkedIn for a full professional rundown.
Because my single mother became seriously ill and disabled, I strongly advocate for health equity and disability rights. I myself have woven in-and-out of disability with ten major surgeries across my youth for my scoliosis and clubbed feet. I'm reworking a book about the experience.
Growing up with few resources, and not much money, I am also an advocate for human infrastructure and giving people opportunities to move from surviving to thriving, and advocate for abolishing poverty.
I’m a writer of fiction and non-fiction. My blog serves as a commonplace book. It's an accumulation of many things I am curious about, and information I find significant.
